Our team of Community Gardeners provide presentations and gardening workshops to educate our neighbors about all of the exciting things happening around food and health in East New York, and how to get involved.

Plant Sale and Tea in the Garden with Tea Arts and Culture

Join ENYF for our annual Plant Sale and Tea in the Garden in collaboration with Tea Arts and Culture! We'll be selling affordable culturally relevant seedlings on the ENY Youth Farm (620 Schenck Ave) all afternoon and attendees can join in a tea tasting and poetry reading led by Gardener Aroara from Success Gardens and ENYF Junior Staff!
Agenda:
- 12-2pm: Affordable plant sale of culturally relevant seedlings, ENY Gardeners prioritized
- 2-3pm: Tea tasting and poetry reading in the garden led by Gardener Aroara (BYOP: bring your own poem to share!)
Seed Distribution & Community Gardener Mixer with GreenThumb and ENY Restoration

Join East New York Farms in collaboration with GreenThumb and ENY Restoration for our annual seed distribution and community garden mixer! Get FREE culturally relevant seeds and participate in our garden planning workshops throughout the day!
We will be serving lunch from Veggie Grub and attendees can participate in rock painting throughout the day with ENY Gardener Nayda
Workshop Schedule:
- Vegan and Gluten Free lunch by Veggie Grub will be served at 12pm
- Seed Starting & Crop Planning: 12-1pm with Farmers Alec and Alexx
- Garden Bed Building and Repairing (Carpentry): 1-2:30pm with GreenThumb
- Free seeds and rock painting all day!
